Overall they have a white-colored chest, nose, and paws. This feature is the result of genes from the Old English Sheepdog’s end. When they inherit the color feature from the poodle then this condition takes place and here the whole body is black colored including the nose, paws, and chest. Black is rare coat color because it is hard to find the Old English Sheepdog which is present in solid black coat color. To get an entirely black coated color one has to get a black coat color poodle parent.

Tri-color Sheepadoodle

It is one of the rarest and has black, white, and brown coat colors. This makes it unique, sometimes it appears only black & white but by looking closely we observe the brown color also. We get this by combining brindle, Parti & merle with the Old English Sheepdog.

Merle Blue color coat Sheepadoodle

Mostly Pet owners do believe that merle blue coat color does not exist. It is because of its rareness. Generally, they have solid coat colors along with patches of other coat colors.
They are cute and good looking but the merle Sheepadoodle has a high chance of getting health issues like blindness and deafness.

Gray Olo Color Sheepadoodle

It is also common because gray tones could be found on both poodles as well on Old English Sheepdogs. They are not solid gray but have patches of other colors also available like blue, white & black on the neck, paws, and chests this is called the tuxedo pattern.

Blue Sheepadoodles have also patches on the body of coat colors of gray, silver, black, and white. They have a dark tone from the time of birth as reach adulthood the dark tone converts to a lighter silver tone.

Brown color Sheepadoodle

As we know well the brown coat color is common in both poodles and Old English sheepdogs. They have also patches of light creamy coat color. It is a rare condition but they are also found in bi-color (brown and white) and tri-color (black, white, and brown). Solid brown is the rarest among all of them.

Cream color Sheepadoodle

This color is usually found in poodles of all sizes, this happens when the creamy coat color poodle combines with Old English Sheepdog. It is possible to have a patch on the neck, chest, nose, and paws of white coat color.

Colors coat changes in Sheepadoodle according to age

Color change in Sheepadoodle is a common process that occurs 100% as they grow to adulthood. At the period of 8 to 12 months, the fading starts due to the graying gene known as G locus which is present in both Poodles and Old English Sheepdogs. It could be observed in the Sheepadoodles who have a dark coat color. Black Sheepadoodles fade mostly in gray, silver, or blue coat color. Brown Sheepadoodles fade into light coat colors like cream or silver. It is a natural process that takes place so, we have to not worry about it.
